Space Available on Women Ministries Cross-Cultural Trip
CHICAGO, IL (August 16, 2005) - Several slots still exist for women to join a
team traveling across Europe this fall, says Ruth Hill, executive
minister of Women's Ministries of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
The trip is part of Women Ministries' Cross Cultural Opportunity.
Participants will meet Covenant missionaries and members of national
churches to learn about the challenges of presenting the gospel in
Prague, Czech Republic; Halle, Germany; Paris, France; and La Coru–a, Spain.
The team will leave September 30 and return October 13. Leading the trip
will be Jan Epps-Dawson, regional coordinator for Europe and Russia, and
Hill.
So far, eight women from four conferences have signed up for the trip.
They range in age from 16 to 66.
"The age diversity of this group is delightful," says Hill. "I look
forward to the different perspectives they will bring to this experience."
Hill says women should apply immediately if they are interested in
joining the group. Cost for the trip is $1,500, which covers all
expenses while in Europe. Airfare to Europe is additional.
To register, contact the Women Ministries office at 773-907-3332.
Traveling on the trip are Samantha Davis, West Chicago, Illinois; Betty
Evans, Beaverton, Oregon; Pamela Holmberg; Lakewood, New York; Margaret
Larson, Two Harbors, Minnesota; Bea Pavlik, Bellevue, Washington; Helen
Peterson and Carla Thelander, Jamestown, New York; and Joyce Schut,
Rochester, New York.
