Pictorial Glimpses of Life in Iraq
IRAQ (September 15, 2005) - Chaplain Maj. Darrick Gutting served in Mosul,
Iraq, from October 2003 to October 2004. These images help paint the
picture of life in the Iraqi war zone.

Chaplain Darrick Gutting chats with some new young friends somewhere in
the theater of action in Iraq, when he was serving there. Children and
how they often are used by the insurgency makes it imperative to
establish friendly relations.

This young man in particular caught the attention of Chaplain Gutting
when he was serving in the area of Mosul, Iraq, last year.

Even in the midst of war and human suffering, one is reminded of the
incredible beauty of creation and God's handiwork, a reminder of God's
presence in our daily lives.
