Chicago Church Featured in Sojourners Magazine
CHICAGO, IL (November 30, 2005) - New Community Covenant Church has been
featured in the latest issue of Sojourners magazine because of
the congregation's commitment to reaching its neighborhood and the world.
The church was planted four years ago by pastor Peter Hong as an
intentionally ethnically diverse congregation located in a near north
side area of the city. The article makes special note of the warming
shelter the church started three years ago in response to one woman's
need, which now serves more than 30 people daily.
