NPU Soccer Players Continue to Garner Awards

CHICAGO, IL (December 12, 2005) - Two members of the North Park University men's soccer team continue to be honored for their performances on the field.

Junior goalie Austin Person was named to the First Team National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-North Central Region team. Sophomore forward P.J. Eriksson was named to the third team.

Both players were named earlier to this year's First Team All College Conference of Illinois (CCIW) and Wisconsin team. Person was named to the Academic All-Region Team - he also was named to the All-CCIW team last year and was named the team's 2004 Most Valuable Player of the Year.

Eriksson is from Varnamo, Sweden. He twice was named CCIW Player of the Week this past season. To learn more about Person, please see More Than Just Sports.
