New CD Sales to Help Fund NPU Musical Tour
CHICAGO, IL (April 20, 2006) - The North Park University School of Music has
released a new CD album to help fund a performance tour of Sweden and
Austria this summer. The production highlights the music of the Jazz
Ensemble, Orchestra, University Choir, and Concert Band and was recorded
during 2005.
"The need to produce a CD that highlights the labor of our ensembles has
been ever-present," says Rollo Dilworth, music professor and choir
director. "We would definitely like to produce a CD on an annual basis."
The tour will run June 15-25 and take the Choir and Jazz ensembles to
perform during the annual meeting of the Mission Covenant Church of
Sweden in Stockholm and the Music for the Soul Festival in Vienna, Austria.
