Great Lakes Welcomes Three New ChurchesPOWELL, OH (May 9, 2006) - Delegates to the Great Lakes Conference Annual Meeting held Thursday through Saturday received three new churches into membership and availed themselves of classes to enhance outreach initiatives. Two conference lay members also received honors for their ministry service. Two of the new churches are denominational church plants: Artisan Covenant Church in Rochester, New York, and Designer's Covenant Church in Nashville, Tennessee. The conference also received the transfer of Four Rivers Covenant Church in Paducah, Kentucky. Five classes were offered Friday to the delegates participating in activities at Faith Covenant Church in Westerville:
David and Beth Chilcoat of the Westerville congregation were the recipients of the first-ever "David and Beth Chilcoat Award in Church Outreach." They were instrumental in the activities of Young Life in Columbus, Ohio.
