Hooper Bay Fire: the Aftermath
HOOPER BAY, AK (August 9, 2006) - Days after the flames were doused and the smoldering ashes had cooled, residents of this tiny Alaskan village focused on cleaning up the mess while others focused on helping resupply the village with needed necessities. Following are scenes in the aftermath of last week's devastating disaster. 
| These are the fuel tanks that served the elementary school, which was destroyed in the fire. The tanks were located just 300 feet from the school building.
