Covenanters’ Album Achieves Platinum Status

CHICAGO, IL (September 26, 2006) – The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has certified The Fray’s album How to Save a Life as platinum, having sold more than one million copies.

Two members of the band, Ben Wysocki and David Welsh, grew up and helped lead worship at Christ Community Covenant Church in Arvada, Colorado.

The title track, recently released as a single, was featured during a special opening segment of the season premier of Grey’s Anatomy last week. It also has become the number one downloaded song from the itunes website. That song, as well as the first single "Over My Head (Cable Car)", already have reached gold status (500,000 copies sold).

The Fray will be featured in the October issue of The Covenant Companion. To read an earlier online story about the group, please see The Fray.
