Arrangements Pending for Barbara Hawkinson
CHICAGO, IL (October 3, 2006) – News has been received of the death of Barbara Hawkinson, wife of the late Prof. Zenos Hawkinson of North Park University. She died in her home this morning.
“She had been doing very well following an emergency heart procedure last week and died while resting this morning at home,” said North Park Covenant Church Senior Pastor Doug Johnson in an emailed notice to the congregation.
"Miss Barb," as she was known at the North Park Covenant Church preschool that she helped found, cared for hundreds of children and youth in the North Park congregation over the years, Johnson noted. “Pray for her children Tom, David, Tim, and Marilyn, and their families and the hundreds of friends here and abroad,” he said. Both David and Tim are Covenant pastors.
