Rebuilding - A Slow, Patient Process
PHOENIX, LA (November 27, 2006) - The small church in Phoenix, Zion Travelers Baptist Church, received a makeover in the wake of the damage from Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  | A volunteer from Hillcrest Covenant Church in Prairie Village, Kansas, puts the finishing touches on a doorway to the small Zion Travelers Baptist Church in Phoenix.
| Once the reconstruction work was completed, it didn't take long for worshipers to stream into the sanctuary to praise God for the work under way to rebuild the community.
|  |  | The beauty of the interior reflects a lot of love from volunteers who have donated thousands of hours repairing and rebuilding not only the church, but homes as well.
| Congregants are no doubt encouraged in their worship by the beautifully renovated interior of the church, thanks to donated funds and labor in recent months.
