Memorial Service Planned for Arlene Larsen
TACOMA, WA (December 13, 2006) – A memorial service for Arlene Larsen, 75, will be conducted at 2 p.m. January 6 at Harvard Evangelical Covenant Church.
Larsen died early this morning. She was the wife of retired Covenant Pastor Harold Larsen.
Larsen was born December 18, 1930, in Frederick, Wisconsin. She attended Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she met Harold. They married August 19, 1949.
“She probably had more impact than I ever did,” says Harold, who was pastor at churches mostly in Washington and Illinois.
Survivors include six daughters: Lynn Higbee and Kristen Larsen of Glenview, Illinois; Kari Larsen and Julianne Larsen of Graham, Washington; Diane Westbrook of Missoula, Montana; and Roxanne Nelson, of Seven Bays, Washington.
