Online Relief Fund Created to Aid Bumba Residents

BUMBA, CONGO (December 19, 2006) – Covenant World Relief (CWR) is partnering with the Covenant Church of Congo (CEUM) to deliver assistance to residents of this community that has been devastated by heavy rains over the past few days.

An estimated 3,600 people have been left homeless, Covenant News Service is told, and at least one individual – a child – has died.

A special online donation site has been created specifically for those desiring to send donations to assist CWR’s Bumba relief effort. To make an online donation using a credit card, please see Bumba Flood Relief.

Those desiring to send checks should earmark them for Bumba Flood Relief, made payable to Evangelical Covenant Church, 5101 North Francisco Avenue, Chicago, IL, 60625.
