Unity is Theme of Friday’s Covenant Shores Event
MERCER ISLAND, WA (February 28, 2007) --The women at Covenant Shores Retirement Community will host their second annual event in conjunction with the World Day of Prayer at 10 a.m. Friday.
Women from 170 countries will participate on Friday in support of this year’s theme, “United Under God’s Tent.” Material, including a Bible study and prayers, was written by women of Paraguay. The primary focus of this year’s World Day of Prayer will be on people left homeless through natural disasters and civil unrest.
The one-hour event at Covenant Shores will include presenters discussing the theme. The retirement community retained the international focus by selecting presenters with diverse backgrounds and ethnicities, including members of its work force who speak many different languages.
