Cascades Camp Offering 100 Special ScholarshipsYELM, WA (March 2, 2007) – Cascades Camp and Conference Center is offering 100 scholarships targeted for children who would otherwise have no means to pay for camp, says Terry Whitcomb, program services manager. The scholarships are available for children ranging from those entering second grade in the fall through senior high. An anonymous donor has provided the funds for the scholarships, Whitcomb says. The value of the scholarships will vary depending on the cost of the camp. As part of the scholarship process, Cascades will work with local churches to implement a follow-up plan with each of the children to make sure their experience is a lasting one, Whitcomb says. Cascades will continue to offer other scholarships available to students who may not require as much financial assistance. Whitcomb says she is grateful for all the donors who make the scholarships possible. To apply for scholarships, email Terry Whitcomb.
