Minnehaha Offering Online Christian Ethics CourseMINNEAPOLIS, MN (May 2, 2007) – Minnehaha Academy is offering an online course in Christian ethics for high school juniors, seniors and adults who attend Evangelical Covenant churches.Participants will join a discussion-based investigation of morality in the context of the Christian faith led by Jeffrey Crafton, teacher of sacred studies at Minnehaha. The curriculum probes contemplative questions like, “How should a Christian live with moral integrity?” and “How does a Christian make decisions about today’s social and moral issues?” “It’s a pretty intense class,” says Don Johnson, communications manager. The eight-week study begins June 18 at a special introductory price of $100. Registration deadline is June 11. The same study will be offered in the fall starting September 24. Students will not earn high school credit, but will receive a certificate of completion that they can attach to a college resume. School officials say the class is an opportunity for members of a Sunday school class or small group that are looking for curriculum. The school recently was one of only 50 in the country to be honored for its Advanced Placement program. The Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church sponsors the school.
