East Coast Conference Welcomes Two Churches
BEDFORD, NH (May 8, 2007) – Delegates to the East Coast Conference Annual Meeting welcomed two church adoptions on Saturday.
St. Peter’s Covenant Church in Hilltown, Pennsylvania, was founded in 1804 and has a membership of 204 people. Christ Evangelical Covenant Church in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, has 414 members. Both left the United Church of Christ in recent years.
The meeting was held at Bethany Covenant Church in Bedford. The church’s pastor, Bob Berquist, led worship prior to the business meeting. Jim Sundholm, director of Covenant World Relief and the Paul Carlson Partnership, spoke to the Conference Ministerium. Curt Peterson, executive minister of Covenant World Mission, spoke to delegates.
