Carlson Re-elected as Midwest Superintendent

LOVELAND, CO (May 9, 2007) – Delegates to the Midwest Conference Annual Meeting celebrated Supt. Ken Carlson’s 20 years of service on staff by electing him to a fourth term. Carlson served as assistant superintendent for eight years before being elected to his current office.

“He is so well-respected,” says Sue Radosti, who finished her term on the Conference Executive Board. His relational skills have served the conference well, she added.

“He has a great rapport, not only with pastors, but also individuals in the churches,” Radosti explains. “He remembers their names and their children’s names. He really has the big picture of the congregation and the dynamics of the people in the church. It’s kind of phenomenal.”

The meeting was held April 27-28 at Crossroads Covenant Church in Loveland, Colorado, and focused on the theme, “No Ordinary Church.”

Delegates welcomed Morse Covenant Church of Overland Park, Kansas - Bryan Dahms is the church planter.  The conference also honored three church plants that no longer need appropriations and have moved into their own facilities: Hope Covenant Church of El Dorado, Kansas; Relevant World Ministries of Colorado Springs, and Celebration Covenant Church of Omaha, Nebraska.
