Judy Howard Peterson Named Campus Pastor
CHICAGO, IL (May 15, 2007) – Judy Howard Peterson has been selected to continue in the permanent position as campus pastor for North Park University.
 Peterson has been serving as interim campus pastor and was one of three candidates interviewed for the permanent position. She officially assumes her permanent duties August 1. To learn more about her background, please see Peterson.
The campus pastor is a staff member within the Department of University Ministries and provides leadership for the spiritual formation of members of the campus community through preaching, the chapel program, counseling, and other pastoral ministry.
The national search to fill the position began February 1 and closed March 30. Twenty-nine applications were submitted and three candidates, including Peterson, visited campus earlier this month to preach at a chapel service and participate in a student question-and-answer session.
