CHICAGO, IL (May 25, 2007) – Those unable to attend this year’s Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon, June 21-24, will be able to participate in the major worship services through the wonder of the Internet.

Covenant Communications will broadcast the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening services, as well as the Sunday morning ordination service at www.covchurch.org.

Many members of St. Barnabas the Encourager Church were unable to travel to the Evangelical Covenant Church’s Annual Meeting last year to see their pastor ordained, but they were able to share in the moment.

Eighty people gathered to have dinner and watch a live Internet stream of the service that was projected so everyone could see. “Everyone thought it was cool,” says their pastor, Jeff Black.

The Covenant website has a complete schedule of services and full details on how to tune into the live broadcasts, including access to free QuickTime Player software if needed. Churches with questions about using the broadcasts in group settings can email them to broadcasts@covchurch.org.
