Weborg Lecture to Explore Heritage of Pietism
CHICAGO, IL (July 26, 2007) – Chicago area residents are invited to attend a public lecture by John Weborg, professor emeritus of theology and spiritual formation at North Park Theological Seminary.
 Weborg will present the lecture “Spiritual Direction: A Descant of Text and Life, A Heritage Reflection," at 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, in Nyvall Hall’s Isaacson Chapel. The event is free.
The lecture will focus on "how the heritage of Pietism in some measure informs the practice of spiritual direction in the Covenant Church," Weborg says. The Center for Spiritual Direction at the seminary is sponsoring the event.
Weborg, one of the most popular and influential professors to have taught at the seminary, writes a column that appears every other month in The Covenant Companion.
