Spanish Version of Affirmations DVD Available
CHICAGO, IL (May 21, 2008) – In order to better resource Spanish-speaking populations, a subtitled version of the Exploring Covenant Affirmations DVD was distributed by mail on Monday.
Approximately 200 copies of the DVD were sent to Spanish-speaking pastors, multi-cultural Evangelical Covenant churches, Latino missions, and Centro Hispano de Estudios Teologicos (CHET). A company that frequently subtitles television programs completed the work.
Each section of the DVD focuses on a particular affirmation and is eight to 10 minutes long. An additional chapter focuses on the common Christian affirmations. A two-minute promotional section and an overview of the six Covenant affirmations also are on the disk. A Spanish translation of the accompanying study guide is planned.
“The six Covenant Affirmations are central to Covenanters – different ages, geographies, languages, cultures, genders, economies,” says Mary Miller, director of the Making Connections Initiative, which funded the DVD.

The initiative is funded by a Lilly Endowment grant and seeks to connect North Park Theological Seminary with churches and pastors of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
