Athletes Can Still Register for Covenant Point Triathlon
IRON RIVER, MI (July 15, 2008) – Registration remains open for individuals and teams who want to participate in Covenant Point Bible Camp’s 10th annual triathlon scheduled for August 3.
The Triathlon is a fundraiser that provides funds to help children and youth with special needs to attend camp. Participants have raised $80,000 over the past nine years, says Bill Fish, camp director of ministry.
Funds have helped build ramps and accessible bathrooms in the main assembly buildings and dining hall. The money also enables caretakers to attend camp for free with their campers.
The Triathlon consists of three elements: a half-mile swim in Hagerman Lake, a 25-mile bike around the surrounding lakes, and a seven-mile run around Hagerman Lake. For more information, call Bill Fish at 906-265-2117, or email him at bill@cpbc.com.
