Memorial Service Conducted for Lela Sibley
TURLOCK, CA (July 22, 2008) – A memorial service was conducted today for Lela (Coors) Sibley, 91, at Covenant Village of Turlock. Sibley, the widow of Evangelical Covenant Church pastor Charles Sibley, died Thursday.
Sibley was born July 28, 1916. She married her husband in 1940. He preceded her in death.
The couple ministered in Wisconsin, Illinois, Nebraska, Wyoming, Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. She remained active in ministry until recently at Covenant Village of Turlock.
Sibley is survived by her children: sons D. Stanley Sibley and Hal Sibley; and a daughter, Char Bergsten. Burial will be in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
