Surgery Scheduled Monday for Supt. Jerome Nelson

CHICAGO, IL (July 25, 2008) - Central Conference Superintendent Jerome Nelson has been diagnosed with colon cancer and will have surgery on Monday, Covenant News Service reports.

Nelson’s physicians believe they have caught the cancer early and anticipate a full recovery.  His anticipated hospital stay is two to four days with a two- to four-week recovery at home.
