World Autism Awareness Day

The following document from the United Nations explains how, why and when World Autism Awareness Day began. It is congruent with and supportive of our belief that everyone is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), that Christ invites and desires that everyone be a part of God's Kingdom (Luke 4:18-20 and John 3:16-17), and that everyone can make a contribution to the working out of God's purposes in the world (Eph. 2:8-10). As a church we believe persons with autism, like everyone, can live in a loving relationship with Christ who came and first loved them.
