B. Estate Planning Services (Seminars)
Information helpful for pastors, church leaders, directors of other Covenant ministries
INTRODUCTION
Several seminars are available to inform and educate members and friends of Covenant ministries about various facets of estate and financial planning.
Estate And Financial Planning Seminar
This seminar is a general introduction to estate and financial planning, with emphasis on planning and implementation. Presented by a Covenant Estate Planning Officer, it discusses the factors to be considered in forming a comprehensive estate plan, including both current and future planning; various ways of implementing the plan; and several vehicles for fulfilling both the family and the charitable objectives of an estate plan. A seminar workbook is available. This seminar is beneficial for persons of all ages.
The Importance Of Estate Planning For Women
This seminar is especially for women, to acquaint them with the importance of becoming actively involved in the estate planning process. Whether married or single, women need to be particularly concerned with estate planning. Offered for women by a woman, this seminar is available to larger groups, such as district level Covenant Women gatherings, conference CW retreats, spouses of attendees at ministerium meetings, etc.
Sponsoring a seminar can benefit your ministry, its members and friends, in several ways. A simple reminder of how a person can include your church or ministry in a will, trust or other charitable agreement can result in increased bequests. Our experience has shown this to be the case, particularly where seminars are held periodically. The seminars provide resources for responsible stewardship of assets. Many people are relieved to know that their church has a service available for help in estate planning and financial management.
For further information or to schedule a seminar, contact your regional Covenant Estate Planning Officer, or the central office at 800-483-2177.
