Gifts of Securities

Gifts of appreciated securities (stocks, bonds, and mutual funds) are a great way for you to give to the ministries of the church and may provide significant tax benefits to you as a donor.

We are pleased to announce that as of March 1, 2013, the ECC has partnered with the Covenant Trust Company to manage all future gifts of securities for the Covenant. The process is easy, efficient and cost effective.
 

Instructions for making a gift of securities

To initiate a securities transfer, please contact Mike Magnusson at 847-583-3252 or mkmagnusson(at)CovenantTrust.com for delivery instructions to the ECC and other ministries of the church.

To ensure proper and timely acknowledgement of your gift for income tax purposes, please notify Mike in advance of any securities transfers. This will enable him to help you through the process and prepare the broker for the delivery of your gift. Mike will notify the ECC or related ministry of your gift.
 

One gift to many ministries

By transferring securities through the Covenant Trust Company, you will be able to make multiple gifts to various ministries of this church. One transaction can distribute gifts in your name to the ECC and any of its ministry programs such as Covenant World Mission or Covenant World Relief. You may also include a gift to Covenant related ministry organizations and institutions, including your congregation or your conference.
