If you take any of the classes held during Midwinter, you are not required to register or pay for Midwinter. If you take Vocational Excellence before Midwinter and stay to attend the Midwinter Conference, you are required to register and pay for Midwinter. NPTS Course at Midwinter

MNST 6266 Church Planting Ecclesiology | Heathrow B
(Soong-Chan Rah, John Teter, 3 credit hours)

This course provides an opportunity for the student to develop a mature theological and ethical ecclesiology relevant for church planting.  Cultural exegesis and social analysis will also be explored as tools to help the student gain knowledge on the vocation and practice of church planting. The mission, values, and vision of church plants will be explored to help develop a missional perspective on church planting.

This course is a 3-credit graduate seminary course.  If you are currently a North Park Seminary student you can register for the course through our Academic Services office at (773) 244-6217. If you have not yet applied for seminary you can apply as a simple Visiting or to one of our graduate programs. Please contact our Seminary Admission Office with any admission questions you may have at (773) 244-6229. Applications can take several weeks to process and you must be a NPTS student before you are able to register for the course.

Registration for this class is a two-part step.

  1. Register and pay tuition through NPTS for MNST 6266 Church Planting Ecclesiology
  2. Register for Midwinter, select the NPTS class and pay $75 registration rate for Midwinter. (Monday night dinner is included.)

BIBL 5210  Old Testament 1: Pentateuch and Interpretation | Heathrow A
(Jim Bruckner, 3 credit hours)

This course will cover Genesis—Deuteronomy as well as an overview of the landscape of hermeneutical methods used in interpreting the Old Testament. The approach to the five books is both canonical and historical, so it covers theology of the texts as well as their most prominent interpretive settings in Israel’s history. Includes: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, and hermeneutics.
