Keynote Speakers...
Daniel Anabalon, keynote speaker, is the pastor of El Encino Covenant Church, a Spanish language congregation in Downey, CA. Originally from South America, where he still speaks at conferences, Daniel has spent the past 16 years ministering among Hispanic immigrants in the Los Angeles area. He has a close affiliation to CHET, the Covenant’s school for training Hispanic pastors and leaders.
D. Darrell Griffin, keynote speaker, is senior pastor of Oakdale Covenant Church in Chicago, the largest African American Church in the Covenant. Oakdale has over 2,000 members and numerous ministries impacting the city, including a highly acclaimed school. Darrel currently serves as the chair of the Covenant Executive Board, and has been a participant in the Oxford University Roundtable on the future of contemporary education.
Sharol and Neil Josephson, keynote speaker, draw upon 29 years of marriage as they lead a ministry to 7,000 couples at Bayside Covenant Church in Granite Bay, California. Prior to their arrival at Bayside in 2006, Sharol was a TV news anchor and the Canadian director of Operation Christmas Child for Samaritan’s Purse. Neil was president of Covenant Bible College for 16 years and has served as a pastor at Covenant churches.
Ed Lee, keynote speaker, is the founding pastor of Mosaic Community Covenant Church, a multi-ethnic church plant in the Houston area. Ed has long been a prominent leader nationally in the Asian American community, promoting unity and racial reconciliation across ethnicities. He has served previously in Dallas and the Bay Area. He is currently finishing his doctoral dissertation, “Planting Multi-Ethnic Churches.”
John Martz, keynote speaker, is the senior pastor of Arvada Covenant Church in Arvada, Colorado, where he has served since 2003. John has served Covenant churches since 1979, including 17 years in Lafayette, Indiana. He earned an M. Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and then went on to receive a Ph.D. from Drew University.
Lisa Orris, keynote speaker, has followed God’s calling to correctional facilities, where she was a counselor; to motherhood of three children; to North Park Theological Seminary; and most recently to the Department of Church Growth and Evangelism. She has led evangelism seminars throughout the country for five years and is the department’s project coordinator for evangelism coaching.
Worship Leaders...
Matt Lundgren, worship leader, leads a talented and diverse team of musicians and vocalists to help us express our hearts before God in a varied and rich way, weaving the best of both proven and recently developed worship arts. The team’s experience includes multiple CHICs, Midwinter Conferences, and Evangelical Covenant Church Annual Meetings.
Walter Whitman Jr., guest choir director, was named one of Ebony Magazinee's “50 future leaders” for his work as director of the Soul Children of Chicago, a choral group he founded in 1981. He has recorded with artists ranging from Neil Diamond to Kirk Franklin. More than 1.7 billion people heard him sing during the globally televised opening ceremonies of the World Cup soccer tournament.
A Call To Prayer...
At The Feast you will have a wide range of opportunities to experience God’s presence through prayer. There will be prayer stations throughout the grounds. You may take a prayer walk, participate in the 24/7 Prayer Room, morning and evening vespers, and intercessory prayer for others and the Evangelical Covenant Church.
