What is the Childcare and Preschool Ministry Network?
 In order to assist and partner with Covenant churches that provide
childcare and preschool ministries, the Department of Christian
Formation has established the Childcare and Preschool Ministry Committee. Collectively we have committed to work together to develop a NETWORK
among children’s daytime weekday ministries of Covenant churches.
These include preschool, childcare, and before/after school
programming. Our mission and vision are the following:

Mission:
The Childcare and Preschool Ministry Committee exists to develop a
network among Covenant churches with existing or proposed childcare and
preschool ministries and to assist individual churches with support and
resources to further equip them in their ministries to children and
families.

Vision:
The Childcare and Preschool Ministry Committee envisions a support
network that will help Covenant churches establish new childcare and
preschool ministries and help to further equip existing ministries by
making resources available through a variety of media. The committee
and other identified individuals gifted in children’s ministry will
serve as points of contact for individuals and churches that provide
childcare and preschool ministries. The committee’s ultimate vision is
to help children and families come to know and/or grow deeper in
Christ.

We know of more than 100 Covenant churches with childcare and preschool
ministries for children and there are many other Covenant churches
seeking connections with experienced friends to help them begin such
a ministry. Imagine the benefit to each ministry if we begin
relationships with one another and are willing to share areas of
expertise with each another!
In addition to connection, ministry to ministry, there will be a gradual development of helps available on the Covenant
Website. We will keep you informed of resources that could be helpful
to your ministry as they are made available.
