Tell Me a Story, Pastor!

I retired from congregational ministry about a year ago and have been helping a young pastor who is just getting started by writing some children’s story/sermons for him. Below you will see a couple examples, as well as a brief description of how I create children’s sermon/stories that relate to the sermon text and theme.

My wife (a retired elementary and middle school teacher) and I have been invited to present a workshop in this topic at the 2012 Midwinter Conference. As we develop that workshop, I’ll add to this description. If you have questions or need some ideas, please email jgaderlund(at)me.com.
