What about immigrant and indigenous pastors who do not qualify for credentialing with the required standards?
The Board of the Ordered Ministry always has the right to make decisions by the
rule of exception (Article XII). The rules attempt to state what is normative
and do not claim to respond to all the particular circumstances of candidates. A
task force has been set up to determine how to address the issues faced by
immigrant and indigenous pastors with the possibility of creating an appropriate
credentialing track.
