Long term/Career

Long-term/career missionaries are those that have been called and consecrated by the Evangelical Covenant Church Annual Meeting to serve long term in mission in an international setting.

The primary qualification for a long-term/career missionary is a personal and complete commitment to Christ resulting in the consciousness of living in vital fellowship with him as Savior and Lord. He/she must have a firm conviction in the Holy Scriptures, the Old and New Testaments, as the Word of God, the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine, and conduct.

A prospective long-term/career missionary must be a member of a local Evangelical Covenant Church and must complete an interview and screening process. He/she must also have Covenant short-term or project missionary experience. A prospective vocational missionary must also meet the regular professional requirements for similar service in the US and Canada.

For more information about becoming a long-term/career missionary, contact our departmental office.
