Burkina Faso is a country the size of Colorado. It is a landlocked country which has limited resources and has been famine-ridden in the past. The Fulani, a semi-nomadic people group, make up about 10% of the population. Outreach is mainly done by native Fulfulde speakers and their neighbors. God’s story is going village to village by means of radio programs, Bible storybooks and music cassettes. There is great joy when the remote fellowships gather together yearly for corporate worship and mutual encouragement.
Covenant missionaries began to serve among the Fulani in 1998, and have been involved in urban ministry, evangelism, outreach, discipleship, spiritual formation, media and education. The focus of Covenant ministry has been to equip believers for the challenge of sharing their faith.
