The Evangelical Covenant Church has several ministry partners in India.
- India for Christ Ministries (IFCM) Covenant Church | IFCM is planting churches, but is also caring for more than three hundred children by providing meals, tutoring, recreation, and Bible classes near the city of Bangalore, where the headquarters of IFCM is located. IFCM has two hundred churches with over 3,000 members.
- The Hindustani Covenant Church | The Hindustani Covenant Church (HCC) is a growing church that has 111 congregations and over 18,500 members. Today the HCC is working in several states of India, involved in extensive development work, which seeks to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the people of India. Missionaries from the Mission Covenant Church of Sweden were sent to India in 1940 and began the work that would become the HCC.
- Truthseekers | This is a Christ-centered reconciliation movement committed to spiritual and social freedom for India’s oppressed.
Covenant World Mission became involved in ministry to India in 1999. The first Covenant missionaries were sent to serve in India in 2009 through 2010, finishing their missionary service in the summer of 2010. We do not have missionaries serving in India at this time, but continue to meet and work with our ministry partners there.
