Covenant missionaries are partnering with the Antwerp International Protestant Church (AIPC), an English-speaking congregation with members from more than thirty countries. Our partnership involves an already existing ministry in the church that focuses on reaching out to asylum seekers and refugees who are living in the local area. This includes weekly women’s groups and special events for children at a refugee center.
The Antwerp International Protestant Church (AIPC), was established in 1962. Covenant partnership with AIPC began in 2007, when missionary Barbara Swanson joined the Mosaics Project team in Europe, which focuses on reaching out to asylum seekers and refugees. In 2009, Covenant short-term missionaries Jared and Hannah Baker joined the team in Antwerp. Jared has been working as a missionary to youth and families at the church and Hannah has joined the Mosaics Project.
