Covenanters from the United States and Canada now work in numerous locations in the former Soviet Union in church planting, evangelism, leadership development, radio (“New Life”), orphan, and prison ministries. Covenant missionaries serve as liaison for the many Covenant ministries there. Pray that our deepening partnerships with the leadership of Russian churches would result in transformed communities through the power of the gospel.
Ministry in Russia began in 1993. This outreach was a continuation of Covenant activity which sought to place missionaries in this territory (Russian Far East) over 100 years before. In 2005, project missionaries were sent to serve in a new area of Russia.
