India


Covenant World Mission has several partners in ministry in India.

One mission partner is the India for Christ Ministries (IFCM) Covenant Church, which has over 3,000 members in 200 churches. IFCM is also involved in caring for more than 300 children by providing meals, tutoring, recreation, and Bible classes near the city of Bangalore, where the headquarters of IFCM is located. We do not have missionaries serving in India. Our partnership began in 1999.

Another partner in mission is the Hindustani Covenant Church (HCC). The HCC has 95 congregations and 13,050 members. Today the HCC is working in several states of India, involved in extensive development work .Missionaries from the Mission Covenant Church of Sweden were sent to India in 1940 and began the work that would become the HCC.

Opportunities to Give:

  • Children’s Service Project 2007-08, “India: Caring for the Children." International Partnership:

  • Women Ministries' Annual Project: Break the Chains. SLAVERY did not end in the 19th century - it still thrives in the 21st century. The most heinous form of modern-day slavery is commercial sex exploitation. Young women - even very young girls - are imprisoned every year. Forced, coerced or deceived into sex slavery, these women experience the ultimate form of abuse every day. Learn more...
