Covenant
World Mission partners with the Covenant Church of Taiwan which has
over 4,800 members in 35 churches. The Covenant opened its work in
Taiwan in 1952. The resulting group, the Chinese Evangelical Covenant
Church, is vigorously doing its own church planting, sending out its
own missionaries, and partnering with North American churches in
outreach to Chinese people around the world. The population is
22,113,250, of which 2.5 percent are evangelical Christian.

- The Great Open Door. The Evangelical Covenant Church in North America has committed to raise
$1 million over the next five years in support of outreach initiatives
in China, working in partnership with the Taiwan Covenant Church. The
goal is to raise $200,000 each year through additional support from
