Czech Republic
Work started: 1999
The Czech Republic is considered by many to be the most secular nation
in Europe. Only 5.5% of Czechs regularly attend a Christian church, 40%
claim to be atheists, and others ( more than 50 percent) search for
meaning in various forms of spiritualism. This was the home of the
Moravian Brethren, who impacted the world with the first Protestant
missionary movement in 1732. The Brethren Church is a part of the
IFFEC, with its roots in Jan Hus, martyr, and the Moravian Brethren.
This church began in 1880 and today has 57 congregations in the Czech
Republic. We currently partner with the IFFEC (International Federation of Free Evangelical Churches)
