Spain
Work started: 1996
Spain is full of colorful traditions, customs & languages,
influenced by Islam, Catholicism, Judaism and Protestantism.
Catholicism is strong, but the 1978 constitution guarantees religious
freedom and tolerance. We can now have home Bible studies and
engage in a variety of creative outreach ministries. Covenanters work
in the south with an already existing Protestant church, the Federation
of Independent Evangelical Churches, and a newly formed Covenant Church
in the northwest province of Galicia. The influence of immigrants from
Latin America on evangelicalism is being felt. Please pray for the
ongoing and new ministries developing among the minority populations.
We are also developing ministries to marginalized peoples in Spain
through the Mosaics Project.
