Colombia Projects

The Colombia projects are organized in the following three sections:

    I.   In Support of Missionaries
    II.  In Support of the National Church
    III. In Support of Holistic, Community Development

I.    In Support of Missionaries

The Education Foundation (CEMPEC) - for scholarships for pastors and leaders who are studying in the CEMPEC program as well as donations to help underwrite costs, including the costs of the production of materials for leadership training.

Churches Planting Churches - The Colombian Covenant Church’s goal is to plant churches throughout the country. Covenant missionaries are working together with the Colombia Church in strategizing and equipping leaders for this task as well as cooperating in bringing this vision to fruition. Assistance with costs related to the planting of new churches.

Colombia Building Project - Assist the Colombia Covenant Church with the costs of building purchases and church construction projects for those Colombia Covenant churches that have outgrown their rented properties and would like to move into a place of their own.

Evangelism - materials and campaigns. Assistance with costs for the training and sending of church-based evangelistic teams to spread the Gospel.

Colombia Covenant Youth Leadership Training Project - This project will facilitate the equipping of God’s people for ministry and leadership. This pilot project is set up to run over two years in each of the cities where the Covenant Church is present.

Send a Kid to Camp - Scholarships for children and youth to attend regional and national camps and retreats.

Sunday School Materials - Assist local Covenant churches to purchase/reproduce the Covenant Sunday school material “El Pacto con Dios” (Our Covenant with God).

National Covenant Women of Colombia - Assistance with travel costs, promotional costs and the purchase of materials for craft making. The goal is increased partnership and promotion with the women from the three regions of Colombia by encouraging them to attend national events, host day conferences and participate in the making of Colombian crafts.

Adult Education - Assist with the purchase of materials and scholarships for attendance at ministry oriented workshops and conferences being offered by local ministry groups.

Covenant Health Brigades - The Colombia Covenant Church is seeking donations to purchase mobile medical equipment and to cover the costs of putting on Health Brigades which offer medical check-ups, dental check-ups, clothing and medicines for the children and adults in the neighborhoods where Covenant Churches are located.

III. In Support of Holistic, Community Development

The Covenant Foundation Drug Rehabilitation Program - The program, for both men and women, consists of a year-long rehab program divided into three states: detoxification, re-education & restoration of values, and re-entry & re-socialization. This program is an outreach of the Normandía Covenant Church.

  • Scholarship for one person in recovery (average of 12 women in a facility; average of 30 men in a facility)

The Bethlehem Foundation - This is a ministry that works with street children. Part of this ministry is Jacob’s House. The Jacob’s House ministry reaches out to the child drug addicts and street children of Bogotá offering them a rehabilitation program tailored to their needs. It is seeking donations to finish the construction of their ranch, to equip a computer lab and to offset the costs of having the children in the drug rehab program.

The San Carlos Poultry Farm Community Project (FADESCAR) - A ministry of the San Carlos Covenant Church, is focused on generating employment and improving the living conditions and nutrition for the people of San Carlos. It is seeking donations to further equip the chicken houses for the raising of chickens.

The Las Chalinas Multi-Faceted Farm Project - This farm is seeking donations to build a well and purchase a pump for their land.

Seamos Parces Corporation - Recreational, musical and Biblical activities for 200 children. Leadership training for coaches and music teachers.

The Covenant Holistic Education Center (ASEDEP) - ASEDEP is the Covenant Education Association whose overall vision is to have neighborhood Christian elementary schools in Medellín.  One such school is called The Covenant Holistic Education Center, which ministers to 85 children. There is a need for P.E. equipment for these children, academic software for the teachers and a sound system.

The Potosí Christian School - Located in Bogotá, this school ministers to 260 elementary aged children. In order for the school to keep growing at one grade level per year, they are seeking funds to help with new classroom construction costs.

Covenant Kids Foundation - This foundation is looking to raise funds for the ministry to children of Colombia Covenant Churches and in their communities.

Center for Strengthening Education and Nutrition in the Child (CRENN) - Located in Monteria, CRENN serves over 100 children from this war torn area of Colombia by providing them with a lunch, help with their schoolwork, as well as time for recreation and Christian Education. CRENN is seeking donations to offset costs for placing security bars on the roof, for school materials, food, and kitchen help.
