Vietnam Vocational Training for Youth
This vocational training program is in partnership with South-East Asian Relief and will provide an opportunity for forty teenagers an apprenticeship or other means of training so that they are able to support themselves and break away from poverty. The youth are generally thirteen to fifteen years old and have dropped out of school because they cannot afford uniforms and tuition. With the new skills they learn in the trade they choose (sewing, electrical mechanical, motorcycle repair, etc.), they can make a living for themselves and their families. Further, they will be able to return to their homes and begin a business of their own, care for their family’s needs, and even employ others to benefit their own local economies.
$10 – Monthly sponsorship of one child’s vocational training
