Constancy “ Be still and know that I am God..." (Psalm 46)Constancy: Faithfulness, longevity, and fidelity are nurtured through a personal state of wellness – issuing out of a vital relationship with Jesus Christ. The SPE initiative resources pastors/ missionaries/ chaplains for retreat to encourage healthy patterns and habits of renewal. Renewal RetreatsPastors and missionaries who feel the need to spend 3 to 7 days in retreat, prayer, and study can make application to the Sustaining Pastoral Excellence initiative for such a purpose. An outline of the retreat components will need to accompany the grant application. Grants of up to $900 are awarded for personal renewal retreats, and $5,000 for group retreats (4 or more individuals). Please look under "frequently asked questions" for instructions on group grants.
Re-visioning Retreats The Fall 2008 Re-visioning Retreat will be held September 28 - October 3 at the Dunrovin Christian Brothers Retreat Center in Marined on Saint Croix, Minnesota. Check out their web site here. *Please only apply for this event after you confirm that the date and location works with your schedule. This retreat experience is designed for those in ministry who are seeking to renew their friendship with God, reignite their pastoral imagination and explore their call in a deeper way. There will be two retreats offered per year with a maximum of 10 participants per retreat. All expenses for the retreat experience including registration, lodging, food, and materials will be covered. A travel allowance of up to $500 will be provided for transportation to and from the seminar. Click here for the application for re-visioning retreat.
