About

It's no secret that stewardship is among the most under-resourced areas of Christian discipleship, yet the topic is of critical importance to our churches and to the discipleship practices of God's people.

We live in a time of slipping stewardship disciplines.  In our consumer culture, many have forgotten, if they ever knew, of the values of saving, spending wisely, and giving generously.  As a result, our ministries lack the resources needed to advance the Good News to people through initiatives of thoughtful and assertive ministry.

God is transforming us from people "living to get" into people "living to give."
Once our hearts were for getting;
for getting our own way...forgetting God's love and ownership of all of creation.
Now our hearts are for giving;
for giving as God's Spirit leads...forgiving others as we have been forgiven.

I Peter 4:10-11

10 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
