Two Covenant Military Chaplains Promoted
CHICAGO, IL (March 8, 2006) - Two Evangelical Covenant Church military
chaplains have been recently promoted to Major.
Chaplains Kevin Lockett (left) and Patrick Genseal (right) both serve in
the U.S. Air Force. Both are completing course work as part of the Air
Force Institute of Technology, for which only a handful of chaplains are
selected each year.
Genseal has been studying pastoral care to victims of domestic abuse and
sexual violence. Lockett has been studying information technology to
help the chaplaincy develop better communication.
Lockett joined the military full time in 1998, and Genseal has served
since 1996. At least seventeen Covenant ministers currently serve in the
US military.
