Domestic Violence Awareness Sunday Resources

October 5th has been designated on the ECC calendar as Domestic Violence Awareness Sunday. Information and resources for worship, drama and group discussions are available here .

Cross Cultural Opportunities

Women Ministries offers a Cross Cultural Opportunity each year (except on a Triennial year) for a small group of women to travel to a country in order to become familiar with the evangelistic ministries and to learn how to more effectively support and pray for these efforts.

A trip to Japan is planned for May 2008 and to China in May 2009.

Triennial

Triennial is a four day international spiritual adventure for women of the Evangelical Covenant Church. It is held every three years put on by Women Ministries. The most recent Triennial conference was held in 2007.

DATES: July 22-25, 2010

HOTEL: The Omni Shoreham Hotel Check their website to see this beautiful hotel, just three miles from the White House on eleven acres of beautifully landscaped grounds.

The TRIENNIAL XIII PLANNING COMMITTEE will be determined MARCH 2008.

If you sense a calling to serve on this team, please complete an application form and return it no later than March 14, 2008.. If you have a unique gift to contribute to TXIII that is not listed, please submit your proposal to Ruth Hill, Executive Minister of Women Ministries at wmc@covchurch.org.

Women Ministries Sunday - Feb. 10

The purpose:

to promote Women Ministries as a strategic tool of the church, conference and denomination.
to inform and support women in ministries of spiritual growth, outreach, and service within the church, community, conference and denomination.
to recognize Women Ministries throughout the region, the denomination and the world. Click here for information about the Women Ministries Recognition Award.
to unite with others in the Covenant to realize the vision of the current Denominational Project.

Calendar event:

WM Sunday is designated the second Sunday of February on the Covenant's calendar, but may be altered to fit into the local church calendar.
